As you have noticed William Jewell has (and still is)
undergoing some serious changes. With the switch to NCAA, renovations to Curry Library,
and the addition of the Pryor Learning Commons Jewell has seen vast alterations
not only to the campus but also the notoriety of our establishment. These
changes however will not be the last to William Jewell. At the end of this
academic year the head of Career Services, Judy Rychlewski, will be retiring.
Judy has served in the Career Service Office for thirty-seven years, and has
helped countless students and alumni reach their goals and find jobs that they
enjoy. Judy has decided to retire to spend more time with her family, and
travel with her husband Walt. In addition to Judy’s retirement is an office
makeover. Career Services will change over the summer in to the Office of
Career Development and Internships. We will be placing a much larger focus on
helping current students find internships within their field during their time
here at Jewell. Our hope is that by stressing involvement within your area of
academic interest Jewell alumni will have more opportunities and have an easier
time entering the workforce after graduation. Look for next week’s blog for
upcoming internship and job opportunities.
